Leon

Well today I am resting my body and going to soak in a tub.  It is great to rest after about 500 km.  According to one sign, we are 307 km to Santiago! It is hard to believe but my body tells me another.

As I arrived into Leon, people were getting out of church. They were celebrating a special religious holiday. I ended up in a parade. That was random!

Leon is beautiful and very warm. Just what I needed before we start climbing mountains again in a day or so.

My friend Nikalos told me we are doing 27.7 km a day. Did I mention I am tired! So we hope to slow down. Kathy arrives in 16 days. Plenty of time to walk another 307.  Never thought I'd ever say that!

One thing I do love is the way pilgrims all seem to connect. A lot of us went through the Cathedral built in 1300  and thought how did they build this?

One pilgrim from Kamloops told me that there wife and prayer group was lifting me up in prayer. That was cool.

I have grown to appreciate all your prayers or I would not be in Leon!

Have a great Monday!

Bill

  2. When I read to the boys about how the church was built in 1300, Aidan Alaska, "Were you there Mummy?"
    "No, I wasn't born then. "
"Oh." Pause. "Was Papa born then?"
    Haha.
